“From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise…” Psalm 8:2
Living Water Primary School was scheduled to open in Palorinya Refugee Camp in Northern Uganda on June 7th. However, the government of Uganda has closed all learning institutions for another 42 days, due to a rise in cases of COVID19 in Uganda. Primary schools have been closed for 1 1/2 years. Three hundred South Sudanese children are anxiously waiting to begin attending school. For most of these little ones it will be for the first time in their lives. The teachers are equally excited to open. All are praying the opening can take place in early August.
Kulia, the headmaster is wasting no time. She is busy planting flowers around the perimeter of the school building. We covet your prayers that the school can open very soon.
One of my most favorite Bible passages comes from Matthew 11:25 & 26. “Jesus said, ‘I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.'”
LWCT’s first and foremost reason for constructing this school is so that these precious children can be nurtured in the Word of God, and become very strong disciples who will make disciples. Perhaps even returning to South Sudan and becoming the godly leaders who are desperately needed in their war-torn homeland.
