Preach The Word

Whether we are training pastors to preach, women to sew, farmers to farm, entrepreneurs to sell, or teachers to teach, our main goal is always to gain and strengthen disciples of Christ. This means investing in future leaders of the Kingdom. Effective leaders must be educated and able to support themselves to gain respect and the following of others.  (Our Lord Jesus was educated in the Scriptures and learned a trade.)

The model used by Living Water Community Transformation is “train the trainer”. Equipping  nationals to be the trainers for their own people has proven to us to be a very effective means to move people toward our goal of sustainability.

We find Apostle Paul’s charge to young Timothy to be inspiring to us today, “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” 1 Timothy 2:2

As I write this newsletter I think of all the wonderful brothers and sisters who have been a part of this mission for the past 19 years. Many of you have gone to South Sudan and Uganda with us. Even more have faithfully prayed and financially supported this work. There are just too many beloved ones to name, but you know who you are. Most importantly, God knows who you are. I just hope you are blessed as much as I am to see the fruit of your labor.

Despite the discouraging news we hear daily around the world, God is still at work. Let’s not be discouraged and let’s covenant together to “fight the good fight.”

In one of his many famous quotes, Pastor Henry Blackaby said, “Watch to see where God is working and join Him in His work.”

We would love to have you come onboard with us on mission with God to South Sudanese Souls.
