Lisa Hermanns

Lisa Hermanns graduated from Barry University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working for the Long Beach V.A. Hospital as a nurse and as a pharmaceutical sales representative for E.R. Squibb in southern California, she returned to Florida to complete a Masters of Public Health degree with a specialty in Health Education from Florida International University in Miami. Upon graduating, she ran a mobile mammography unit for underserved women for a partnership between the American Cancer Society and the University of Miami School of Medicine.

For the past 20 years, Lisa has lived in St Petersburg with her husband Rick. While Lisa was homeschooling her three children she and Rick founded Veritas Academy, a university model school and have been active members of the three churches they have attended since moving to St. Petersburg. Besides Veritas, she has been involved with several international mission ventures including in Ciudad Juarez, Alexandrov, Russia  and Phetchabun, Thailand. The work with an orphanage in Phetchabun led she and Rick to host two of the children from there of which one who has now graduated from a Christian university here and is now married to an American citizen.

Lisa has a passion for improving the health and welfare of the underserved!!
